Ways I would remake Morrowind

Morrowind has many flaws despite being a great game. Here are some ways that I think it would be made better.

  1. One of the main gripes about Morrowind for many people was the combat system. One’s skill in each combat discipline dictated the probability of hitting rather than the damage done by hitting, meaning you could be trying to kill a Kagouti at point blank range and nothing would happen. A better way would be to have the number of points in each skill represent a percentage of the maximum damage done of a weapon like it probably is for Oblivion and Skyrim.
  2. Another problem was the inability to sell any expensive items without going through a long drawn-out process of buying and selling daggers from a fucking crab. There should be a few merchants with a lot of money and the prices of items should be less. One of the items I had was 2 million bottlecaps or Gold as I believe it is called, and the richest easily accessible merchant only had 5000 gold. (I modded myself into the game. I was a rich trader who lived in a basement in Balmora.) The journal was very weak and hard to navigate in the original game, with no way to distinguish between quests. The Bloodmoon expansion improved on this greatly by adding a separate section for missions. I think
  3. The map only had some locations marked on it. I think all the locations should be marked on it.
  4. Sort the bugs out.
