Woman Marries Ant

Mary Haberdash, a 36-year-old pubic stylist from North-South London, has caused a stir among her local community by marrying an ant.

“It was love at first sight.” Tells Mary. “The minute I looked at him I knew he was going to be my husband. I suppose I was initially attracted to his strength and his beautiful eyes.

“From there, we went on a few dates, to the park mostly, and 3 months later, we got married. It was hard organising it because Ant, which is my special name for the ant, has quite a large family, but we managed it in the end.”

The couple decided on a traditional ant marriage with one difference, a 6-foot ant mechsuit containing the ant. This was so he could be identified among the other guests.

However, homophobic entomologist Gary Gaylord is disgusted by the partnership, saying that the ant is most likely female and so the union was a disgrace. He was quoted as saying. “Sexual relationships with insects are perfectly natural as long as they are with insects of the opposite sex.”

The ant was unavailable for comment.
